Bay Area For Change started life as Sunnyvale4Obama, a Sunnyvale, CA group of folks working for the election of Barack Obama. We quickly outgrew both the name and the town becoming one of the largest Obama groups in the area with folks on the Peninsula, East Bay, and even Florida.

During the Obama campaign we called Swing States, fundraised for Obama, blogged, and even sent a contingent to Las Vegas for the last few days of the election.

We now have almost 700 people on our mailing list. Post November, 2008 we are continuing as a group (with a name change) encouraging community activists to talk about issues, working with Swing States, and many other activities, including just having fun with like-minded people.
